Great work man, keep it up , it a bit hard to critique as the subjects/mediums and intent are different in every piece but thats not a bad thing at all.

Returning to CA forums. I should really come here more often; there is so much I could learn. I recently got an Adobe CS3 trial, so I've been practicing with it all the time. After reading a tutorial by nJoo, I was inspired to draw my kitty. Here is the result.

great cat painting here! that eye turned out very nice, has great depth to it. I like some of the textures you have going on, and that lighting is excellent! Keep on using that trial before it expires!

Hey Kezrek,
Here's the brick at ya but you're meant to catch it.
You should definitely draw more from life, it'll help you big time with your illustrations. Those hand studies are nice but let's see more of them as well as some quicksketches of people.
Nice variety of different mediums used. I really like last digital cat. Nice composition and live to it.

The black and white hi-contrast environment is strong work, same goes for the recent skull still life painting. The digital cat is good, good detail, simplicity, no superfluous additions, excellent detailing on the eye as well. Keep doing what you're doing, it's working, just do more of it!

Yousa - You're right, I should be doing more life studies. Recently I've been so enveloped in getting Photoshop right, I nearly forgot about the essentials. Thank you! I'll try and get more things as such up here soon.
IanE - Thanks! I had to stare at her for a long time to get everything right (or as close as possible to right). x3

Practice again, and again from life. Though I should probably draw people, there aren't any around right now. <_<

I like the cat a lot. You did a great job. Your demon monsters are pretty cool looking, too. Kind of looks scared in the digital, but his skin looks good hes just not so scary.
