thanks! loosening up really does help. i didn't enjoy the other pieces anyway, rendering too tight, too much strain on my brain. not fun.

i really ought to color more....

Yes, do some coloring, I bet they'd be great. Your tonal values work well in the renderings, why not go all the way?:D

I like these a lot, so happy expressions! The snail is just overjoyeous! (sp?) Good pyramid compo aswell. Makes me wanna paint it.
The crab looks a bit like Crawdaunt/Corphish from Pokémon Sapphire/Ruby. It's a cool design. I wonder if there's crabs that looks like that IRL.
