I posted this one elsewhere, but thought I would post it here too as it is fine art and from life. It is a recent oil on linen painting, 16" x 20", called "Dreaming Figure".

This is friggin sweet! The thing that comes across most is your confidence. The choices that you've made in rendering the nose and the eyes allow the viewer to become more engaged. The fact that you've left out important details allows the viewer to bring their own sensabilities to the piece and share in the experience. This is REALLY fresh dude.

Thomasin, your work is fantastic, I love the softly melting forms and the way you combine cools and warms. The economy of brushstroke in your work is great! Also, thanks for the comments on in my thread, I really appreciate it!

If you like this you should check out arthur pinajians paintings. A huge body of his work was just discovered in bellport ny. There were over 7000 paintings discovered, alot of abstract and nudes. I havnt found much of him on the web but you can check out a bit here : www.artpinajian.com (http://www.artpinajian.com)

panshosimpson, thank-you very much. I appreciate your kind comments. It was a pleasure to comment on your work - you are very talented and hard-working!

amanama - I don't really see the similarity between my work and the artist you mentioned, or why you used this thread to promote his work ...

I love the work. great colors and mood. It does not seem to be very accurate but I think the mood makes up for it.

Technically - gorgeous!

My inner child hates them - they have this visceral 'people without a formed face' thing going on that makes them irresistable to look at, while one little part of my brain screams. It's not often that I see artwork that inspires such a strong reaction(at least in my head). They're amazing.

! Someone else has said they were gentle and quiet paintings ! It's rather astonishing to hear the various responses to my work. I suppose it is just my knowing my own work so well and where it comes from, but I think they will be taken as rather wallflowery! Thanks very much for your comments, though, Minigoth. Much appreciated.

dude #15 is sweet.
all your paintings are very tight indeed, they tell enough of a story without being too illustrative and describing very detail.
Really encharnting .
