Hello
Looking good so far. I looked at your sketches to get a better feel for it. Real canvas eeeh? Oil with oilpastels on top?Thats not so often seen here - cool. :D
I think the addition of a human spy would be good for "action-feel" and as a reference for size of buildings also.
As this is just a rough color-draft, theres not so much to say at this point. The colors are to rich for my taste at this stage.
IŽm looking forward to seeing more updates

actually it's acrylic ... oils are a little toooo expensive for tests right now ... and the pastels are just the outline of what i will paint ... i use chalk pastels do to the wipe away factor if need be.

Keep em coming. :D
Favourite thing so far is the little silo to the right.
I wonder about the thing to the left though? rocks? I were convinced it was a kind of flight-tower.
The trouble with acrylics (take my advices with a big piece of salt) is that a new layer "kills" the underlaying one. I try to add extra water, to thin the paint, but then again, one takes the risk of making it all look more lika a watercolor.
If I had a digital camera and werŽnt a chicken I could upload a too..

well yes, generally, when you use acrylics especially high end acrylics you lose that feeling of depth when you paint on new layers. but lately i have been playing with cheap Liquitex acrylics which has some dies in the colors as opposed to pure pigment, and since there is a slight clearness to the colors, it develops an oil paint finish, and also, to make sure you don't kill the next layer ... you defianatly need to do a dry brush technique to get that proper depth and also it doesn't hurt to not use black. or white as well since those paints are oppacifiers
