The Daring Captain Defends PORT DELTA (currently a neutral Port)
Aided by his Non-human Allies. Port Delta is a crucial seaport . Up until this time a trading port where anything can be bougth and anything sold. Its central location and strategic situation make it a luscious plum for the picking. The Dashing Captain can be LIght or dark, or neither. I MIGHT REMIND YOU THAT DEFENSE CAN BE PHYSICAL, OR DIPLOMATIC. ATTACK CAN BE PHYSICAL OR POLITICAL

Finals will be posted in a Final Burning thread, all wips should be in this thread. The Final Burning thread post should contain, your finished piece. and your alliegence Light or Dark. Thank you and Avast there!!!!

loot- There are many enemies on the campeign trail, if you like the looks of somebody elces loot feel
free to challenge them to open combat- watch out for headhunters.
a victory will increase your rank and you will rob them of their loot. This may make you a bigger target for other crusaders.A loss will

you know, i wouldnt actually call this a candidate. its just some crap i made while i was eating brekfeast. imean, look at it! it aint inked, coloured nor did i use ANY real perspective.
but hey, it looks funny. however: if anyone likes the IDEA i'll try to redo it.

@ Piecemaker That's an intense composition. Nice choice for the perspective, maybe it's only me but the foreground perspective looks a bit wonky. Maybe it is just the arch of the FG.

@ armetage: Very nice atmosphere, really like the diffuse lighting broken by the fog!

@ piecemaker: Wow, this sky is awesome, fits perfectly into the scene and carries most of the paintings expression. I just think your captain somehow goes down in the overall composition allthough he should be the one everything elese is focusing on ... Just an idea: A silhouette of the captain in profile in the very foreground (medium shot or medium close up in the right half) with wafting hair and in a keen pose supervising the ongoing battle from the fortress ... maybe ... :^^:

nice one the captain turned out really well. you added a little photoshop effect there which breaks with all the linework. since you already started with the digital workover why dont u finish it? the carribean setting and fine clothings just cry for rich colors:-)

hehe ... Thanks Piecemaker, I think my sun-moon is what you're talking about when mentioning the PS effect; in fact I just took a big soft brush, dipped the "sun/moon" into the sky and erased the center ... so no tricks at all ;)
