Here's a piece I penciled and painted yesterday, the background I used was a painting I did a while ago but lost interest in....some of you might recall it.

Anyway, the character displayed here is called 'Arwyn', from the excellent comic 'Sojourn', published by Crossgen.com

The pencil is much better than the color, you've got pretty good linework. The composition's not bad, either. But the girl's skin is almost the same orange as the sky. The contrast is also too strong where it shouldn't be (the far horizon) and too weak on the girl. I'd work out your values better before going to color.

Thnx fr the comments, appreciate it. It's funny you liking the b&w one better, I"ve had people say the exact opposite...LOL

You're right on the contrast thing, especially the little house in the back shouldn't have been solid black.....thnx fr poiting it out.

Also checked out your site. Good stuff. :)
