Good painting. I'd think there is a certain sharpness missing from the character though. Now don't go crazy with line art, but perhaps some darker shades in her face, on the dress and on the boots could work well. Looking good though and with no preliminary sketches very well done.

it's that eye, the eye freaks me out! i would bring her left eye into the face more instead of letting it melt off the page.
also her chin is fubar. it needs some meat on it, cause at that much of a cutoff it looks like she doesn't have a jaw bone.

The foot and the gun looks a bit strange too. I have the same tendence to end up with a "non" shaded image containing only mid tones, but thats learning. :D keep it up
