Epic picture. I think some colours might be a touch too saturated, but its looking great. Just love twisting bodies during battle slinging weapons around and acting all agressive.

Dude, this is the rule. What RPG is it going to be? It will make great cover art for what ever it is. Busy is good for RPG cover art.

Good rendering, but it doesn't hold together. It looks like a whole lot of individual paintings collaged together. Too many colors!

I wanna see each character as a drawing on it's own. The characters are that unique.

I agree about the too many colors thing. Take the armored guys for example, they're blue. Since armor mostly gets it color from reflecting other things, where is that blue coming from?

Nice painting. Each individual character is very well painted I think. Personally I agree with the others that it becomes a bit chaotic with all the different colors and detailed painting. I think the whole painting could be improved a lot if you made things more affected by the enviromental colors. Not least bigger areas of shadows and light. When I look at it now, it looks like a photo taken with a strong front light, while if you hidden more in shadows and light it could make it more epic and mystical. I quickly made some lobs of dark and light and added some overall color. When you squint at it now, it looks more detailed and big, even though almost all details disappeared.

I really hope you don't mind me giving you a few comments that I personally would think could improve your painitng. But, like I said, nice painting and all the characters are nicely painted individually.

That's exactly what the painting needed... you built a great foundation, but Joachim's suggestions could bring this piece to a whole new level.

Joachim (and everyone one else who pointed it out), you're right.

You may or may not be surprised how similar your paintover is to one of my colour roughs for the piece.

If I ever get the time I'll rework the painting towards that and your paintover.

Thanks for the feedback everybody!

Maybe he's thinking of this http://www.blizzard.com/war3/wallpaper/wallpaper11.shtml I'm stealing their bandwith! They don't care if it increases traffic to the site though probably. I wouldn't think its all THAT similar. Its a battle scene, both are cool, however the differences are vast. Both have bee handled well artistically though.

EDIT: The above posted link sooner than I.

Ah -- I was worried for a sec, there.

Nah, I was looking at Frazetta when I was coming up with roughs. Never saw that piece before.

Thanks for the link, guys.
