I think its great for a speedpainting, but I do think that the nose needs to be defined more, it seems flat, especially at the tip, and the blue on the left may be making the ear disappear too much...also the painting technique makes him seem older, almost a "yoda" skin texture...

yeah i agree with frank your colors makes him looks like an orc :D his skin is really too dirty especially for an elf...

This is what Elrond would've looked like if Morgoth had corrupted him :)

It's a good speedpainting. looks a lot like Hugo Weaving, but not an elf...

Thanks for the helpful C&Cs guys. I'll take another pass at it.

Just one thing if I can say: 90 minutes is definitely NOT speedpainting. For something simple (limited number of shapes, a few colors) it should be done way faster. I think part of the problem is that you use mostly small brushes. You should work with very big brushes. Put down your values first with quick wide strokes, then come back to just a few areas to add more details with a smaller brush. Start rough, start basic. Your painting will look ugly for the first 5 minutes then it will dramatically improved when you have your values down. And you'll be done in 30 minutes :)
