needs figure study work (try burne hogarth's "dynamic anatomy" book) but other than that, great stuff, fairly original and nicely colored, i think the soldier needs the most work, diff color.

Thanks Evisr8r, Im working on anatomy, but i think poses are the biggest problem for me. I cant seem to come up with good poses out of the blue:(

Try to capture poses from real-life, as people are walking by, or doing actions. Try to imagine yourself in that pose before you draw it.

Watch some movies, get some inspiration! That usually helps me to think about something, and what poses result from it.

If you have access to a camera, you can photograph a friend or having a friend photograph you in the pose you are looking for and then use the picture as reference. Also, comic books are great sources for exagerated and dynamic poses, as are photographs of athletes in action. The hard part is of course drawing the pose and proportions right; at least that's the hard part for me. Anyway, I like the design, especially the bony, organic armor of the top version. Although I like the idea of the tassles from the lower version, and its brighter gold color. Perhaps you could add those elements from the lower version to the upper version. I think that would look great. In any case, I hope my sugestions help some.
