View Full Version : the hatface scribble emporium

as usual, it's a poorly populated emporium. i do far more 3d modeling than drawing lately, but there will be sketches and studies appearing at random.

i'll get some actual paper pages up soon.

well. other than the fact that birdbrain seemed merely to fit, there are no other mystical purposes behind my title. if this happens to be a script that is merely enticing people by putting individual titles up
per whoever is logged in well... i don't have a mic, so trying to get me into the room is mildly pointless at the moment.
here is a piddly older thing that i liked. i will now go kill some time by fighting with my roommate's scanner to get some paper things up.

so, i fought with the scanner. it involved a 15 lbs. free weight.

Oh yeah please scan your books :D Solid stuff here.. I like the black thumbs up there and the doctor guy.
How's a cintiq compared to a regular tablet?

Wow, very cool looking work. Unique ideas and brushes. Decent concepts and imaginative characters, i like the way they look, Kudos to you. I like your style, my favorite is the up looking down perspective piece, really inventive. SUBSCRIBE! LOL Keep posting, luv;n ur work (comment my page if u ever find time)

I'm going to skip off to a scanner soon after this, so I will get to them thar replies for the kind folks visiting my SB. Here are some tight roughs for a cover art project, two different high concept stories I have floating around.

Defiled: I'm... in love with cintiqs. I wish I had the money for one. I really need to spend more time on my tablet, because it gets awkward switching from cintiq to the tablet I have. Almost like tablet to mouse, the feedback is that different.
DaStreets: Thank you. I'll be sure to wander on over.
And now, real media.

boybalasa: thanks for stopping by. i'm liking the colors i saw over in your sb, but i didn't want to leave a comment yet until i had something more along the lines of constructive.
some stuff i just dredged up. even though i forced some of these, there are at least two i want to explore further.

some class assignments that were refreshing. it's been a while since i've dealt with more of a fine art focus in what i am drawing.

more class stuff. take two of the roughs, push them a bit further to the comp stage. weee...
color is going to be a bit more saturated, as i'm working cmyk and not bothering with web color. shame on me.

generic demon is generic.
because i spend my work nights passing time by doodling in my sketchbook (i'm night security), there will be an abundance of pages here when i choose to fight crappy scanner.

big fat sketchbook scan-fest.
let me tell you, the attachment manager really disliked me doing this for some reason.
reverse mouth guys were inspired by an artist whose work popped up in IFX a few months ago.
cursing masquerade-me was scribbled in a doctor's office while the assistant was fighting with my insurance. consequently, i didn't get to see the doc that day either (ongoing battle).

here, i sat and scribbled for a bit before work. i have a bunch of studies on actual paper but a distinct lack of scanner.
yeah, that loomis study is pretty hideous. i've gone over it a few more times in the sketchbook that i can't scan at the moment.
