Noticed that no info about this download has been posted yet, so thought I would. I just started the download, and I am really looking forward to watching it.

Great download, good technical information, as well as some nice theory and philosophy. This Demo was very well thought out, I like how they show you what he is looking at on the model as he paints specific areas. Also, the sound is top notch, it reminds me of the Marko DVD, almost a soothing soft spoken but clear audio track.

"covers all the basics".
Rather vague, could you explain in detail what he covers?

Well, from watching the video and my point of view. James Kei draws this model from start till finish. Which then means everything from the initial sketch, blocking in main shape and form, values, variety of colours (warm and cold), lighting and shade. To me, these subjects are 'basics' which one really has to learn and know to be able to draw say a figure in a believable and realistic way.
Hope that helps :-S
P.S: only critique I have about the video is that there is too little music in it. Doesn't have to be a lot, or loud just something to take away the silent moments. Like towards the ending it was good. Even though, 14 bucks for this is a bargain. Thanks again.
