Oil Man ( Orang Minyak) -WIP

Hey guys,

Heres my next project that ive been working on and off for about two weeks already

Its a character closer to home. he is called orang minyak ( oil man ) hes a local folk lore , very evil being

sinopsis : hes a horribly disfigured dude. no one liked him, beaten up most of the time, made a deal with the devil to be good looking, condition, has to rape 16 virgins, after he did it , devil kept his bargain, however eversince that day, everytime the devil needs him to do his bidding he is again turned to the slimy sleeky orang minyak. Very disturbing charcter,


im really unsure of the subject matter. but i wanted to try anyways and see what ppl think about it.

anyways. i used a very thick armature wirje this time. these alimunium wires are great. He stands at 12inches tall.i hope to finish him mid of next month . hopefully.

I actualy dont have crits. well one of his fingers look fat but im sure your on it. i actualy love this pose, he looks powerfully/sexy. great work

i do kinda wish there was more to his deformity, something more real, cleft lip,etc. right now he looks pretty cool, i wouldnt beat him up.

if i may defend my concept :)

he was deformed. he becomes the "orang minyak" after he made a deal with the devil to become good looking. so this is him as the devils vessel for doing evil .

i was thinking of adding just "something" to him but i couldnt think of anything . so maybe the something should be in the girl .

i still haven't added the other hand yet as that hand will be holfing the girls waist.

not much to critique on this update either, but i guess i can say the little muscles on his rib cage on the sides (as well seen in the third update photo) stick out too much as compared to his other muscles.
overall hes pretty smooth and i love the stamp on his leg. im guessing u stamp all your sculpts?

Yeah i think youre right about the rib muscles. ill change it on the next update.

well actually this is only my second sculpt. the first one didnt get a stamp heh. but i will stamp al of them from now on .

I'm sure it will look great when it's done, and I understand why you need him to be smooth for the concept, but I actually really liked the rough stage.

I hope you don't mind me saying this, as I know you're after a crit, it's only a minor thing of course. I think you'd need to bring the nipples down further as they look like they're in the middle of his chest, and his belly button should be slightly higher just underneath the 'four' pack. Other than that, I think you're doing a great job, especially since this is only your 2nd sculpt! (My very early attempts in anatomy were pretty bad to say the least) Anyway, I hope this helps? I'm looking forward to seeing it all finished.

you know after looking and working at something for so long . you start to think everything looks GooooOOooOd and you dont need anything anymore. but what you really need is a fresh pair of eyes to see the stuff you missed.

heh,

if you take a little talcum and use it to rub your sculpt, the mild abrassion will make your sculpt smooth and shiny.

i use it as part of my finishing.

Mufizal, just to check, this is supersculpty/supersculpty firm? I have never used talc, but i use a fair bit of 90% rubbing alcohol.

I'm sure you know all this because by your anatomy that he already has. it's basically flawless. i'm just pointing out that i didnt see this piece in your puzzle.

im not going to try and sound smart by acting like i know what your talking about :) . im still learning the human anatomy , but i can see from the reference that you provided , i think i have a general idea of whats wrong .

This is just personal taste.

Going back to your drawings: I would like to see the girl a little more "virginal". The typical big breasted scantily clad comic girl doesn't give much of an emotional pull for me. If she looks "untouched" I would feel more villainy in your main guy, which is awesome by the way.

Ah yeah i know about that creature I heard it from some friends of mine.its very disturbing but well. However the sculpt is great you have a nice understanding of anatomy that i like, keep up the good work !!
