It looks impressive but... organize your photos? It's much better when I have just image thumbnails in window and I can organize everything with one click ("Arrange icons by name" for example). Why super table for that?

because the surface lets you create a dynamic interface option that can alter its state based on the composition of objects on top of it, or software installed within it. Also having the option of nearly unlimited simultaneous active touch interface points allows for interaction options that up until this point have been relatively impossible.

e.g. on april 17th various AT&T stores will be using MS Surface to allow users to compare and modify features of phones. Even allowing users to setup and pay for various phone plans while viewing coverage areas and various rate plans at the same time
