Hello and thx for checking this post out. We are building an MMOFPS by the name of Metal and Dust and need artists for the project. Please take a look at the information below and contact me at igorshp(at)hotmail.com if it sounds like something you would be interested in.
Team name: Mindkiller Productions
Project name: Metal and Dust ( working title )
Brief description: Metal and Dust ( M.A.D. ) is going to be an MMOFPS. It will involve three factions struggling for power on the planet of Verga. The three factions are: The Order, Crescent Bay, and Venture. Each faction has a unique twist and a different reason for being on Verga. The majority of the gameplay will be vehicular warfare. Players will not command people, but instead machines of war, that can be upgraded in a modular way. That is the brief overview. This project was thought up by me around eight months ago. Work has been done on it on and off for the last seven months. Mindkiller Productions is looking to offer a fresh entry into the nearly non existant MMOFPS genre.
Target aim: We are aiming to distribute our product online. The plan is to have an alpha version before summer.
Compensation: There will be no compensation during production. However, when M.A.D. makes it to the distribution phase and becomes profitable, compensation will be given to team members.
Technology: The engine is being coded from scratch, in XNA ( C# ).
Talent needed:
Note: These positions are not mutually exclusive.
Concept Artist(s): We need concept artists. Although some themes have been established for the different factions and locales present in M.A.D, most of the world is without a face. We need talented individuals to create the look and feel of Verga, its ecology, and landscape. Also although the factions must abbide by some themes, these are flexible and allow plenty of artistic freedom. Must be able to create semi original work.
Texture Artist(s)/Skinning Artist(s): We need someone that lives and breathes Texture art. Most of M.A.D. will be low poly ( for performance purposes present in an MMOFPS ), and most of the visuals will rely on crisp texturing. Experience with tools such as Adobe Photoshop are a must. Experience in gaming is preferred but not required given the right portfolio.
