Work Description
Limbo Game Studios is currently seeking a lead artist for user interface concepting (look-and-feel), prop concepting and the production of user interface art and prop assets.
The artist will be working on a new title which most closely resembles a sci-fi themed, 4X (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4x) strategy game.
The artist will be responsible for:
* Working closely with UI developers who will deliver to the artist UI architecture and all functional requirements. (The artist will NOT be required to develop or architect UI functionality.)
* As this 4X style title is to be delivered entirely through the UI, the artist will be responsible for influencing the graphical vision and overall look and feel of the game, working closely with the title's producer.
* Prop concepting (space ships, soldiers, facilities, star fields, stellar bodies, etc.)
* Be able to take a leadership role in communication of design vision with other artists who may be required to assist in the completion of the title.
* Move concept to production, generating game-ready user interface assets and 2D props
The artist must be a self-motivated individual, with strong vision, excellent communication skills, the determination to deliver on deadlines and a love of video games.
Experience
Candidate will be determined primarily by their talent, communication skills and ability to deliver on requirements as previously outlined. Both experienced and aspiring, new artists are encouraged to reply.
Term
The contract term is approximately three to six months, with both part time and full time opportunities. Future full-time employment is also a possibility once the contract is completed.
Rate
The contract pays per art deliverables and is negotiated together with artist.
