I bet no one else cares but I basically just got an official letter declaring, "congratulations, you don't completely suck!" I got the Silas H. Rhodes Scholarship from SVA, which is the highest scholarship they offer. An admissions counselor said 8% of applicants get merit-based aid

So thanks to all you beautiful people who post here, because I wouldn't know a damn thing about art without having found CA

Congrats!
I received that same scholarship in 1999.
And yes, you can brag.

Financially, it made a huge difference to me, as I'm sure you'll notice when you are paying off student loans for the next 20 years.

Thanks everyone. Justin asked to see some of my stuff, so if you want to be underwhelmed, here you go: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=110805

Congratulations are in order. If it's not a full ride, we expect a "can I brag about this?" thread in fifteen years, when you've paid off those pesky student loans. ;)

Good luck in school!

You'll definitely get in with this stuff, but the stronger your portfolio the better your chances of getting some scholarship money and placing out of some courses. Good luck!
Told you.
