IMO Archipelago's piece is a far more ambitious effort then DanielC's, though the handling in DanielC's is far easier as is the ease in knowledge of using anatomy and light. The composition and craziness in DanielC's really makes it, although it does not look outside DanielC's comfort zone. I would say Archipelago's is more on topic but DanielC's is way more porn. Archipelago's has a little to much confusion as it lacks some cohesion and character.

draw: thanks for sharing your thoughts man ! Actually that wasnt the initial idea i had for the topic. wanted to go for a more viceral image with splatters and stuff on the bg, but got kindof upset with the color and lost a bit of the idea. but i think my biggest problem is reading the actual definition of the word carnage.. lol was thinking of doing a carnivorous flower with that finished one... :>
