Top 50 finalist from last year’s Comic Book Challenge is looking to do it again. I’m a writer, so I need a multi-talented artist or art team to partner with to create 3 colored pages. All styles are welcome. Let me know your preferred genres: superhero, science fiction, fantasy, horror, action-adventure, crime, etc. For details on the contest, go to: http://www.comicbookchallenge.com
Send links or attachments of sequential samples to genrewriter @ gmail . com (without spaces). Thanks!

I'm just curious...you aren't worried at all about the Grand Prize including you losing ALL creative rights to your work (http://www.comicbookchallenge.com/faq.php#10)? Contest was looking pretty decent, up until the bit about having to sign a WORK-FOR-HIRE transfer of rights contact. YIKES.
I especially like the bit about "Oh, we'll tell you how much we'll compensate you for your idea...a week before you have to travel to San Diego. :D"

Do I like giving up all rights? Of course not. But since I was in last year’s top 50, I got to see how much I’d be compensated, and it was acceptable. Also, I met the 2006 winner and he seemed very happy with the compensation and exposure that he’d received.
If I only had one intellectual property, I wouldn’t sell it straight up like this, but I create new properties on a regular basis, so I’m willing to trade ownership of one of them for the prizes, money, exposure, and networking that comes with winning this contest.
