Very useful and well thought this thread. Even if there is no major difference between these hands as anatomy shapes, I take it as a challenge to render positions and character. Also interesting would be to have a collection with hands in art and great masters.A student of history of art can learn the different appoaches to hand drawing /painting in different cultures and eras. For instance the medieval rendering of hands of miniatures/illuminations or Byzantine iconography versus the Rennaissance anatomical rendering of hands, also the hand in Japonese, Chinese, Indian, Persian traditional art(derived from medieval art in these cultures), then the style of El Greco, Rubens, Rembrandt, Picasso, etc.

maybe i'll find some hi res master paintings to capture from. I was collecting mostly arm-hanging-down-hands for this one. i got them from hi-rez celebrity shots
