I am really wanting of some good, strong classes this summer, specifically hacing to do with classical drawing and painting.

Douglas Flynt lives in Florida, and I emailed him, and he said he had workshops, but that he doesn't post them on his website unless they are likely to fill up more slowly.

Does ayone know where these workshops are located, or a list of times, or really anything in Florida dealing with the figure?

Well there's a lot of options here. Let me tell you about figure drawings that are held weekly. It's not a workshop, aka no one teaches you. However we do have nude models pose for a couple hours and there's a lot of talented local artists that come to these. They can give you tips, but usually it's a one person thing. St. Petersburg Art Center, Saturdays 9:30-12, $6. Eckerd College, Thursdays 7pm-9pm, $5. USF Sundays, (in the evening) $5.

Doug Lamb teaches some independent workshops, he's really good. Rebecca Skelton does too but idk if she does drawing ones or not. My guess would be to start at the St. Petersburg Art Center website and go from there. The artists should have links or something. We also have other workshops at the Dunedin Fine Art Center as well. Idk...I learned my figure drawing/painting stuff at St. Petersburg College under Kevin Grass. (Just my drawing portion) and he's super talented as far as traditional goes. I woudl recommend signing up for an audit class w/ him over summer if he teaches. They're about $200 without cost of supplies.
Good luck!
