Introduction
I graduated from Dundee University in 2007 with an Honours Degree in Animation and am now seeking to fulfill my lifelong ambition of working in the games industry as an artist. Artistically I am most proficient at illustration work and concept art, however my experience in animation, design, editing, and composition gives me a broad range of talents and allows me adapt well to different styles and projects. Having worked under various roles on a number of short films I am used to following artistic direction, working in a team, and tight schedules, and I enjoy learning new things and being challenged.

November 2007 - Present, Graphic Designer for Wasted State Records, Edinburgh
• Designer for record label working on album artwork, flyers and posters. Extensive use of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is important, as is a friendly, patient attitude when working with bands.
August 2006 - October 2006, Concept Artist at Threshold Interactive, Dundee
• Character and vehicle concept designer for an unsigned third person shooter.
October 2007 - Present, Cult Clothing, Edinburgh
• Excellent customer service is a must when working in a busy, fashionable Edinburgh clothing store. Work includes advising customers on purchases, arranging clothing and generally being open, friendly and approachable.
September 2006 - March 2007, PR for The Doghouse, Dundee
• Jobs included flyering/postering, making deliveries, emailing companies and bands and advertising the popular music venue. People skills were extremely important in this position, as was a positive attitude and a sense of humour (particularly when flyering in the rain!)

• Highly motivated and able to work well to a brief
• Enjoy working in a team but equally comfortable working alone
• Confident under pressure
• Comfortable working on a range of jobs including illustration work, concept art, video and audio editing, design, composition and animation
• Proficient in a wide range of programs, for both PC and Mac, including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects, Corel Painter, Final Cut, and ProTools
Interests
I devote a great deal of time to building my artistic portfolio and am an active member of the online art community. I am also a dedicated musician, having played drums for 9 years, and love nothing more than playing gigs and discovering new bands. I play videogames regularly both online and offline, and play basketball whenever I get the opportunity. I have also occasionally been spotted at the pub, usually complaining about the music.
