Old! Well, not too old. I am 27. I havent picked up a pencil since I was around 10 or 11 years old. An art teacher told me that I would never be a good artist, so I quit drawing and painting. Never really looked back.

About a month ago I started doodling on an envelope and before I knew it about an hour has passed and I realized that I love to draw. So, here I am. Im drawing and studying as hard as I can, balancing that with my 2 wonderful children and my lovely wife...

Now...if you thought I was 10 or 12 after looking at my drawings...that's ok. Since that is, after all, where I left off.

Thanks man! I am drawing from life a lot more now. No classes to speak of around here so I cant just jump into a figure drawing class right now, but my wife is letting me sketch her a bit. Of course, she is a little apprehensive of my posting nudes of her! :) At any rate, I am trying to work on life drawing and the mechanics of drawing as well.

Great thougt process, which I've seen in a lot of your work. I'd suggest a bit more finish on some, but you convey your idea and then its on to final paintings? Again, nice thought process.

I wish I could transition better from idea and sketch to final piece out of all the years of schooling (college) I think I only completed 20 pieces and only 10 out of those did I like...for some reason I always liked the idea more than the final product or that is just my lazy ness talking...
