Hey!

I can't access ca.org from my home computer but it works via a proxy server (which I am using right now). Am I banned or is my ISP blocking? What's up? I can't live without my daily dose of ca.org. It's been going on for a week or two now.

Thanks,
~B

I'm not exactly sure what the issue is.

I'm not exactly sure what the issue is.

It is indeed a block because of Teliasonera having an "argument" with American ISP Cogent.
Any and all websites that has Cogent as their ISP (for the servers holding the pages) will be "blocked" for customers of TeliaSonera (which apparently doesn't just include Swedes, though a hefty number of swedes DO use TeliaSonera as their own providers)

Using a website such as Unblocked.org or similar helps, though it means you are temporarily using a proxy ISP to surf on Cogents part of the net.

You will get annoying pop-up windows with commercials by using the above mentioned unblocker, but if you use Firefox, you can avoid this by doing a "new tab" click everytime you click on a link..

I adressed this to Telia personally about a week ago and they don't know when this will solve itself, but once it is fixed, we as customers are welcome to demand compensation.

Telia can not pay compensation for any loss of income due to this, unless you have a business account with them, however they do have a guarantee that the internet should work flawlessly, which means that we can atleast get back up to the amount we pay fo our internethookup for the time whilst we couldnt access websites as per normal.
