two of your focal points here need some serious work
skull>>> way too stylized. getting some reference (there are tons of nice hi res images of human skulls on the web) would add a lot of believability to the image. right now i can't really tell what the expression is supposed to be... just looks kind of deformed.
scythe>>> the blue parallel lines windows stylization isn't working to describe the blade as metal.
hone in on these focus points and it'd be a much better image. good color pallette and i really like the composition otherwise.
cheers

You posted this on here a while ago, and I remember pointing out then that there was no way he could swing the scythe the way he was holding it. Doesn't look like you fixed that yet.

This is really confusing to look at. Your hands need work, and you need to consider the focal points and how "flow" is affecting your composition.
I also think you're trying to stylize things before having a solid grasp on that which you are trying to warp.

i think the piece has potential, compositionally its engaging - tonally its unfocused (as other people have mentioned). When you paint something, no matter what it is - you have to understand that even though you think the scythe looks really cool, and you want the horse to have snake tongues sticking out - you cant handle them all the same way. you have to pick a light source, and establish a cohesive value structure and color palette based on that - once you do that you can render those details, like the face on the scythe and the horses anatomy - so that instead of being distracted (as we currently are) because your image is so busy, we are interested because you lead our eye to the details using your values and composition.
