We all have to start somewhere, so don't worry. Try some life studies and see what happens. But you do have some interesting concepts here; the characters in the second image on your first post in particular.
Keep it up and I look forward to seeing more of your posts

The figure is pieced together from "The Color Atlas Of the Human Anatomy" By Wolf-Heidegger. The face is from a pastel pic. done some time ago.

Dude I like it, I dont know whether this is intentional but you draw things very linear. Its a good style. My only tip for the moment is keep going, and try shading in rediculously detailed detail and always think of light sources.
I'll be back.

Okay, this face is on a piece of 3/4 in plywood. It was created using concrete. I did not do it myself but I had the choice of keeping or discarding the work, so I kept it. The top is the first attempt, and the bottom the second.
P.S.
I hate the nose.

Your on the right track man, creative concepts and your focusing on anatomy which is good. The more effort you put in the better you will get!

Try drawing from your arm and not your wrist.
It also looks like you're having proportion issues in some areas, but its overall pretty good. One thing I'd suggest is flipping the reference upside down and trying to draw it that way, so your mind is tricked into thinking its drawing something else. That way you're more focused on trying to draw the lines out how they are and your brain isn't trying to tell you, "OK this is a human body, we know what this looks like." which can interfere because you're guessing too much instead of studying what your reference is.
Keep up the good work!

I just realized this is my thread. If I wanted to post say 6 different things here I could. But the idea of just 1, say sketches, is best for the observer. So I plan to make it 3. That is, continue with sketches but work on my music and the art of conversation. That is all.

Being speedy won't get you better faster. Slow down and really get into the groove of whatever it is you're drawing and learn from it while you're doing it, and after you've stopped working on it. Slow down and get into it, man. Get back to drawing!

Thanks Lateman,
And I am trying to slow down IanE. I love broccoli too.
I do not believe pencils are my medium. Right now everytime I take a step forward I am forced two steps back. I should be on the move in two days. Will post more when I have it. Once again, thanks.

This is a piece I am working on. The Colors I am using are yellow and different shades of dark red to purple. Not sure if this is common knowledge but a nice set of skin tones you are able to make with adding yello w to purple. This has been a great experience.
PS
Any improvement? Comments/Concerns?
If you are able to flip the pic you will see the deal between Dad and Man.
