winning the war against quality! one artist at a time
stamping out anything remotely creative
let alone genuine ...i surprised they gave spike the chance,
its seemed like poor merchandising strategy. pixar's version will have more collectable cups. and better happy-meal toys

sadly in all seriousness, these stills did look promising. im a huge fan of spike so its a shame
he's kind of our generation's terry gilliam you either love him or you dont.

i dont see how any kid could mistake those screens above as something frightening..
Kids have grown up on cg effects making anything "fantasy" in a realistic manor. The fact that they kept the monsters fluffy and almost "muppet" shouldnt confuse any kid in believing that these creatures are real.
And shit...whats wrong with frightening kids? When i was little i loved ghost stories and movies like Disney's Watcher in the Woods. I cant still remember those nights vividly even to this day.
oh well...

Well, not exactly. Evidently that is an early "proof of concept" effects test. It's not the kid (or the wolf costume) from the finished film, and the dialog is all improvised.

My friend (well not a friend really, my contact. I know him from an other forum.) Daniel Power did the movie poster. He's an airbrush artist from Australia.
