dun look to truthful to the book tho...yet again, none of the movies have been truthful to the books...might as well give it a totally different name
(has a grudge against them since the first movie, where they didn show Bombadil)

Ok... so they're not true to the books... Now, I've read the ONLY trilogy twice but in my opinion... The whole Tom Bombadil part dragged on and ON (plus, how could you dedicate the proper amount of screen time to it?) and the Return of the King ending. BORING!!! The destruction of the ring was amazingly anti-climactic. BUT Is till love the crap out of the 3 books and the 2 (soon to be three) movies.

Oh and the trailer KICKS major butt... The three Fell Beast swooping down to Minas Tirith?!? YAAAAH... I can't WAIT!!!

Shelob and the fell beasts are what I've been waiting to see ever since I first heard that they were making movie adaptations of LOTR way back when. Now their here and they more than I could've hoped for. I can say that about the whole set of movies for the most part; especially on a visual level. Peter Jackson could've done a lot worse with all of the Holywood pressure put on him by greedy and tastless company "suits." While I didn't like how they dragged on the whole Arwen thing or how they portrayed Faramir, I think in the end you still got some great movies. Even if they were 100% accurate, I'd still value reading the actual books more, so either way I'm satysfied.

I can't resist. here's my favorate John Howe piece.
