I have a really old graphics tablet. I just moved to vista lately and I lost my drivers for the tablet. I cant find them online. What is a good alternative to techniques that require pressure sensitivity.

what tablet do you have?
The name would be useful, just in case someone happens to have a driver.

All I know is that it is a Manhattan Deluxe tablet. On the back it says WP5540.

So, wait, does the tablet work but the pressuse sensing is gone, or does it all just flat out not work?
If it's the former, you can manually adjust the opacity for blending (I don't know if there's a key for it) or you could try out some flat colour stuff. If that ever happened to me though, I think I'd rather just switch to the sketchbook and pencil instead of dealing with the tablet.

most people just adjust the opacity and flow meter to simulate pressure sensitivity.

The tablet works but no pressure sensetivity. I was more interested in change of line thickness when inking.

Your only option is to draw the line at one width, then go back and erase areas to thin it out.
Buy a new tablet.

http://www.uc-logic.com/products/products_wp5540-tab19.htm <---is that the tablet you have? Not sure if they'll let you dl the drivers if it is, but it may be a good place to start.

the only thing I can think of to simulate something like that (in photoshop anyway) is to bring up the brush settings and add fade control to you size setting.
just remember to stroke from large to small.
