First post here, and I'm a total newb when it comes to drawing, but I really like how strong and precise your lines are in the first drawing. And good job with the flower drawing, those are always tough for me. Good stuff. ;)

what are we supposed to say about a light switch, or headphone jack..?
the birds are quite awkward and so are the petals , maybe you should spend a few more minutes on these..

Trebster: nice one cheers mate. the jackplug cable was lacking something so the trusty 0.1 pen just helped it along abit. ;)
cocaine: well cheers for the comment any way, but it was just a quick sketch i thought i would post.
the first woman is the first time doing a proper digi in painter, i know some of the perspective is abit off but any hints would be great. the next was just a quick doodle while waitin for the grand prix to start.

heya, are you studying anything art related ? Maybe you can go to a class or something after work and post up the drawings you do there?
You`re an IT guy i`m sure you can find a scanner laying around somewhere :]

lol no im not studying anything at the moment and ive never done any art class of any sort, ive always drawn though no where near as much as i should, but my mums an artist she was an illustrator for years so i guess arts always been an influence in my life growing up round it an all.
well i work in a secondary school so im abit nervous about taking my pride and joy (sketchbook) into a building full of raving loons that seem to be put on the planet to destroy stuff. (which also might make a very interesting sketch lol) but i will try my best to get to a scanner, its irritating cos my pencil work is my favrout medium. cheers for the comment though, much appreciated.

bhahhah.. claud kicks ass :] the boxer`s arm is kinda flabby though, you should look at alot of refference.
i think you should stick to sketching and try painting, leave the computer out of it for a while.
but after all there`s no harm in experimenting

Hey, thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. It looks like you've got some neat stuff here, I like how clean everything is; you have very crisp, well defined lines

The soldier aiming is the best thing in here. It could be even better if you worked on gesturing your drawings and framing them before you put in definate contour lines. Good start though. Keep it up.

Regarding Gesture Drawing:
Now I know that most of your drawing as it appears here is out of your head. So what I am suggesting is that you don't just jump in with what I would call a final contour line drawing. Lightly sketch your idea first, defining where all of the depth and volume will come from, giving you a platform to create a very finished and refined look in the end. I have attached an example of how I work out a pose with an initial gesture. The same could apply to any drawing of any object or idea.
Looking at your most recent posting, I really like your sketch of the "Super Happy Fun Juice".
Thanks for asking for clarification. I hope this helps.
