I am a fan of Pixar, but after watching Cars and Ratatouille, two movies I was very uncertain about I'd see anything these guys do. And after watching the trailer for Wall:E I have no doubt in my mind that I'll be equally pleased with this one. And I'd happily shout it from the roof tops to the world. All I ask is that when they get a spare moment or two they make The Incredibles 2. That's not too much to ask is it :)

Hate to disagree Eric but I think Ratatouille was one of their better ones, it felt like they were not worried about playing it for the kids with a few adult jokes sprinkled in, it was just about the story. Same with the Incredibles.
I wonder about Wall-e no voices its going to be interesting to see how it plays out, at least they are taking risks hopefully John Lasseter can breathe some life into the fossil that is Disney.
Though yeah Incredibles 2.... Please Brad...

Anyone notice that the human in that trailer is a cartoon? I thought that since this movie will have a live action actor the humans would be realistic. Now I'm afraid this is going to be like space jam.

I think he ment he was uncertain about the subject going into the movie, but liked them after watching.
And I wasn't aware that any Pixar movies would have live actors until John Carter of Mars.

Yes, that's what I was meaning, tomwaits4noman. Thanks for the clarification, Meloncov :)

Pixar is doing this? Is it actually confirmed now? When I first heard of the project I thought Kerry Conran (Sky Captain) would have been an ideal choice, but if it is indeed Pixar at the helm, I'll be happy.

It's certain Pixar will release it. It's merely rumor (though a rather pesistent one) that it will contain live action footage.

Upon more careful inspection, it looks like I'm wrong. I'm rather curious how the CG and live action humans will mix.

oh, i thought cars sucked. i hated it. dind't laugh even once. wasn't funny, the animation was great yah, but as a movie it was boring. and to be honest, i thought it was stupid.
everything else they've created has been amazing. but i just couldn't stand cars.

Wall:E looks like it will be good, but I have to say I was genuinely disappointed with Ratatouille. I thought it was too adult: the storyline, the jokes, all the characters... there just really wasn't that much to resonate with the younger age bracket at all. Plus Janeane Garofalo's fake french accent was pretty rough.
I don't know, it could just be me, but it felt painfully obvious that they didn't have kids in mind when they made the movie. I think because of that, it lost some of the timeless appeal that you usually get from a cartoon morality tale; at least, not compared with Monsters Inc, A Bugs Life, Toy story and all the rest.

Ratatouille has a good mark on my list, but can't actually remember if I walked out of cars, or if I was out of soda, and was more concerned with that then actually seeing the end of the film, either way I didn't watch the end.
Hopefully pixar will have some fun, and not worry about human models to much...is it just me or do you get the feeling pixar hates useing humans in thier work? I mean...before the increadable came along you allmost didn't see them in thier stuff at all, neway.
I have ALWAYS hated mixing live action, and some other form of media, oh, I caught a glymps of alvin and the chipmunks movie on a big-screen walking through the store, and sure, they did a good job, but so many small things I picked up on just absolutley ruined it for me...
