Belly Dancer

Another assignment for school, let me know what you think. Uggh...sooo tired, and so much more work to do :( I'm in one of those situations where you finish one assignment, but then realize you have a dozen more still left to do :]

Man I really love the motion in this, the red...ribbon really makes this piece come together! I also love how the hair goes in her (possibly his, you never know ;)) face and really gives the effect of a belly dancer.

Even if this is an assignment you just wanted to get rid of, there are a few things that just feel wierd about this piece. The stomach being one. It looks as if it is defined too much, and sticks out too far (especially for a belly dancer, their stomachs are flattt!)

You may also want to consider making the red..stuff more into the painting. Like adding shadows and such. But like I said, don't fix this if you have a bunch of stuff to do :).

The hair seems a little too angular also, not soft like normal hair is. It looks almost like straw from a scarecrow.

This may sound harsh, but I really do love this.
Are you the same guy who did that person with the sword: the graffiti guy or something?
