Just finished this up, Its not one of my favs, it could use some more touching up. Enjoy though.

nice work.

great background work and overall feel of image is quite powerful

2 things.
your palette seem to be a bit saturated. nothing wrong with that of course, but the creature could have less purple. if you do want that specific purple tone, then you could use it partly to accentuate certain area.
the other thing is the tougue. it took me a while to realize it is tougue, and the title helped me to see what it really is.

you have lighting effect down. and thats great skill.

valid points in deed, I wanted to have something vibrant to catch the eye, and his skin tone works wonders. as for the tounge I realized in a contrast adjustment I lost it lol. so I tried hilighting it a bit more. but alas this is why I dont like this pic..

:D foregoing critique i like the work, really weel done. But to add more dirt do it like desaturate by 10% and we're talking. Bat all in all i like it.

Wow. Great job. The only thing i'm curious about is how did you get those highlights to get so vibrant? The dodge tool?

I took the original colors, and added a touch of rainforest poison arrow frog coloring to them. that is why he is so bright. other than that I know what you guys mean.
