Ive been looking in to buying markers but i won't bore you with that stuff, ill get straight to the question.
Ive heard that with markers you must work light to dark. Would the same be true on off-white (perhaps confetti or recycled) paper also using a white pencil? In short, is there a way of working dark to light with markers?

u have to work light to dark for best results, because once u lay down that dark value, its there starring back at ya, if u work light, u have more control as you get darker, besides colored pencils are just for finishing touches like highlights

this helped me alot- http://jimfong.com/Lessons.html
so if your working with dark colors helps to have some colored pencils on hand to layer color...also some whiteout and paint couldnt hurt.

Im a little confused. Did this guy finish his drawing on tracing paper? Or was he using a light table?

Hi Pencil Sodier, here's what I can offer..
use actual marker paper (from stores like Office Depot/max if art stores don't have it).. and be sure to turn the paper one the backside to marker (it soaks up much smoother)
You will have to work light to dark (unless you want to take a big chance at screwing up)... if you so choose you can go in later and fill in highlights with white color pencil.. I usually do it very slightly .. but some people actually fill in from dark to light with the pencils
good luck :chug:

Thanks Sammy. Actuly what i was confused about was the fact that he traced his image. I woudl think that markerpaper wouldnt be very translucent.
