here is my concept i whipped out today, worked on it off and on for prolly 2 hours. (too long for whats there, I know) I am going to try to model this without extremely detailed orthographic views, which is what I normally do.

realtime baby. hopefully Ill keep it low enough for some HL2 action, but right now, i am not limiting myself. head stands at 1.8k poly's but i will lose prolly a hundred from the skull when geom hair is added. i will post wires tonight after work.

looking good overall, the features are formed really nicely. Some things that stand out to me though are the brow and the mouth. the brow looks a little too pronounced but it just might be because she has no eyebrows yet. I think the mouth looks a little strange because the upper lip juts out too much.
1.8k polys for a head is realtime? i need a new computer.
