this is my colored one.

i am having problems making the sketch pop out and look less sketchy and i am not very confident painting over the sketch.

i would appreaciate some tips.

i am ready to start on my thunderdome piieeaaieece! i have been long awaiting for these final days.

sorry dude, i couldnt color that one the last days because i had a lot of freelance stuff to do... i also found it very hard to think of a way to color it because of the w3rd anatomic stuff goin on and some lines that i could not identify. it was pretty symbolic.. i am so lame, first i ask for it and then i don't do it..

hm, tips..
there are many lines in the sketch, i tend to erase some lines of the initial sketch because the can make the shading look wrong.. jsut because there are no lines in real life. so for me it's always.... less lines = better
in your case i would probably get rid off some lines in the face since i don't know what some of them do there anyway.

for the nice pop-out effect.. you should add deeper shadows. look at your coloring like it is now, and try to imagine where the light falls in. i can only see some big highlight (face, breast), you should now add deeper shadows (in the face, neck, ribcage..) to add depth to the picture. i also found the background too bright.. i think i would have problems with finding the right values for the symbiant. maybe add a darker bg next time, just to get better colors in the focal area (or whatever you call it.. excuse my little vocabulary...bleh..).

all in all i'd say, you need a wider range of values in your pictures. maybe i'll write more tomorrow if there are questions left, but i'm friggin tired right now.. :)
