Hey guys. I was lucky to be accepted as a trainee in flash animation for one of the big animation companies here in my country. The problem is the training will only last for 3 months and that is not enough for someone who has no background in animation like me. I really need to do good in this training so that I could get a permanent position in the company. So, lately I've been doing a lot of practice and reading after training. But, I was wondering if you guys know any helpful sites/forums out there that specialize in animation. It would help a lot. Thanks.

some great notes from the top animators and directors such as Brad Bird and the nine old men of Disney, as well as modelsheets you can also download an x sheet

check out www.flashkit.com and www.tutorialized.com for the tech side of flash

There's the "$100,000 Animation Drawing Course" (http://www.animationarchive.org/2006/05/meta-100000-animation-drawing-course.html) over ASIFA. (More lessons on the right side bar)

John K's (Ren & Stimpy) blog: All kinds of stuff (http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/)

Cartoons, Model Sheets, & Stuff (http://klangley.blogspot.com/)

Congrats!

Thanks, man. I won't be able to post as much as before because of the schedule, but I'll try to check out your sketchbooks once in a while to help out!

http://www.tallgrassradio.com/ Don't be put off by the design of this jump off page. I'm know of the John K stuff but I think the stuff here is gold 'cuz it's all meant more for 2D digital animation purposes. Even with the Toonboom tutorials you can apply some of the techniques in Flash

Some overlap here with this forum: http://2dcgi.com/forums/index.php/board,3.0.html

http://coldhardflash.com/ and newgrounds (lotsa crap, but use the ranking as a rough guide to the better material)

http://www.brackenwood.net/blog/ Blog of the animator who made:

pCxPEB-uu20

http://www.colbybluth.com/ His wip Traun is looking good, but I was blown away by his "Meanwhile" short that combines hand drawn/painted with Flash. He's got a youtube channel but the vids off his site are better.

And, if you don't know yet full version of Flash CS3 is available as a 30 day trial off Adobe.

Good luck. Snooze you lose. ;) Oh yeah, http://www.mudbubble.com/ .
