Tommoy: Oh man--way cool. This is a part of concept art I have yet to even deal with--presence. However, the connection between the beak and head doesn't read for me. The beak feels like the whole head to me and the green part with the red eyes looks somehow disconnected.

kheleksul: I feel like I'm kissing up a bit. Cool image, great atmosphere. If I were to criticize I'd comment that the creature design isn't very risky. I guess that's more a matter of preference or a question for the art director.

Well, here's mine. These projects really push me out of my comfort zone. I hadn't realized how little conceptualization I do (I tend to avoid it, in fact). I almost NEVER draw hard surfaces like armor or machines. Here's to learning!

SIPaVVn: I think your design and mine suffer from some of the same problems. Big, fitted equipment with little sense of weight. I wanted the juxtaposition of skinny and bulky but I don't think I succeeded. Tommoy really pulled that one off.

i'm not sure if attaching is possible. i've never tried (but i don't see an option either as i type this). all of the above images are linked from external sources. i uploaded mine to photobucket.com, and then pasted the code in the message.

take a look at that site. the account is free and you can host quite a bit. just be careful with the content. i had some figure drawings taken down because of nudity.
