another one of the designs for the redux of "clockwork"...(see "tramp" and "brothel" illustrations for explanation...)

in an attempt to redesign the corova milk bar in the flick, i've taken the liberty to change it into the corona hooka bar...where everything in it has a flame/apollo the sun god motif.

this is but a draft of one of the private booths, designed with moroccan and persian tendencies in mind...

crits more than welcome...

very nice, I'm digging your take on CO and want to see more.
Color this up with the crimson color scheme you had eariler and It would make me happy :)

just don't design a Brancussi ripoff penis sculpture like the movie did, unless you wanna get sued as well ;)

the sketch is great but the color totally ruins it.

gasmask is right--your colors are caked on and mask the underlying drawing too much. look to feng zhu or of course doug chiang's work for how to color marker/pen sketches. you need to let the original show through way more than you have. that being said i like the concept, though it doesn't push the concept much for having taken it in a different direction. how does this compete with the film's milk bar design? it's certainly going for a different theme/concept, but i think it's a little too understated for what is a stylistically colorful and loud book.

gasmask & gauss - i do agree, though it's always interesting to see what other people make of my work. it's one of the things i dig about this forum.

and kris - thanks for taking the time to try your hand. while it's not necessarily a color scheme i would have chosen, as i alluded, it's flattering to have someone take the time to work on a piece of mine.

and for any future color studies, i always gotta send people to craig mullens...the man simply knows what he's doing.

anyhow, thanks, all for the feedback!
