View Full Version : Matrix 4 - The Super Matrix

I know that many people loved the Matrix Trilogy just as it ended in The Matrix Revolutions; but there were also many who wished that it would continue on. I’m one of the latter. I saw a whole new level where it could go. So, for fun (and practice!) I wrote another episode called Matrix 4-The Super Matrix.
It's a completely new extension of the Matrix Trilogy and a bit of a mind bender, if I do say so myself. The story paints a picture of what might have happened before The Matrix and after The Matrix Revolutions; sort of a prequel/sequel, I guess. For me it ties a lot of loose ends together and brings the story full circle. If you're interested, you can download the full-length screenplay at my blog
http://www.thesupermatrix.com
Unless the Wachowski brothers or Warner Brothers approaches me, I have no illusions about this being made into a real movie. And I make no money or benefit from the story other than the fun of writing it and the pleasure of hearing people's comments. This screenplay is purely for the reading enjoyment of all those who love and believe in the Matrix mystique.
If you read it, please come back here and let me know what you think. I'd love to know. Thanks and happy reading. PD Wood
P.S. I originally posted this at the end of a four year old thread, but moved it to a new post because in hindsight I realized that few would probably read the old thread. I hope that's OK. If I'm not following forum protocol or this post is in the wrong place, please let me know. I don't want to ruffle any feathers. Thanks.

Light,
I'm glad you think it's that good. Let's hope the Wachowski's feel the same way. Let me know what you think of it after you've finished the whole thing.

This is sort of off topic (or maybe not) but when I was in fourth grade I wrote a Jurassic Park fan-fiction called 'Super Jurassic Park.'

I lost interest in the Matrix when I found out it was stolen.

Just because someone claims the Wachowskis stole their movie idea and unsuccessfully tries to sue them (as well as James Cameron, who apparently stole the idea for Terminator from the same story) for billions of dollars (a case which was dismissed because she provided no evidence of her claims whatsoever) doesn't mean the Matrix was actually stolen.

There's already some sort of background story to the Metrix in Animetrix right ?
pdwood

The background story in the Animatrix is completely separate from my story in the Super Matrix. The Super Matrix locks into a whole new realm that will surprise you.

i think 'ultimatrix' has a better ring to it. or 'alternatrix', that would open up a lot of speculation about the plot

Not as epic as The Matrix Return by Peter Chimaera.
Neo was wake from sleeping and he shout at Trinity "Help you I think your dead"
"No I am not" she said and she gotted some water drink.
Morpheus walking into the bedroom "Good morning Neo we must kung fu"
So they trained the jiu jitsu and martia larts.
Neo kick him "Good job"
"Morpheus we got a distress signal it is from Niobe"
So they ran into the ship and they found Nioba and she was okay but there was a sentinal.
Neo punched it. His hand was hurting very badly.
"Neo you must be careful" Morphus said and shot the robot.
"Wait" Neo said and he downloaded how to kill the sentinels. But it was too late and cause the machines created a new matrix.
"No, we cannot our powers in the new matrix"
Then Neo disconnected but he was looked dead, and they all told Niobe the sad news.
"What happen in the first matrix" "They are all dead"
"tihs is too much" Morphus shotted quietly "help me fight to save this"
"i illh elp you" Trinity say with the cry she was sad cause thoughts neo was dead but it was matrix trick!
Neo try to say help but his body wads frozedn
"sOh no!" Merpheus say at teh radar screen "more matrix is attack us"
"we will have to jug in" Trinity hooked her up
Wehn they entared teh place was filled with Smiths because the matrix was curroopted with the matrix virus.
"I'll fight this 500" Morpus said and he sworded out his katana at great attack.
Trinity watch in amazing! "You are so good"
"What's this" Morpeud read a data becauz he was fight agents and make them run, but the data said some information!
"It say Neo is alife! We shuld wait go back to seak to him" and they tooks off by using phone interface.
Neo was okay they finds because of mediskel equipmont.
"The matrix is virused wso they cans not control the people any morR,. We arm not win yet but shall continue of the fight!"
They aggreed and formed for strewngth so they could fight the matrix one other day
"gentalmen the fight goes on" Neo said with fist and the crews cheered with new hope.

So then, what is The Third Eye?
0kelvin
April 8th, 2008, 05:19 PM
The Third Eye is (judging from the few pages available to read online) a poorly written, derivative piece of science fiction that uses extremely common themes. The only common element between The Matrix and The Terminator is the fact that humanity is fighting machines and that there is a chosen human destined to defeat them, a theme which was hardly invented in an obscure unpublished manuscript in the early 80's.

well, the title means a lot, saying don't knock the title when that title is that thing that makes you wanna read it is kinda dumb. just don't put super in there, thats all you gotta do. I'm sure theres a way around that and then a lot more people will be interested in the read rather than mocking you.

For anyone whose interested, I've recently posted a third revision on my site that juices up the action and slims down the dialogue. Hope you like it. PD Wood
P.S. Mr. Delicious, I know the title is a bit hokey and puts some people off (sorta like Super Man or something), but I'm sticking with it for the mean time (unless someone comes up with something way Super Cooler). I'm open to suggestions.

The Super Cooler Matrix?
Mr.Delicious
June 13th, 2008, 12:28 AM
well super man is different, hes a staple of being like... the first super hero, which back then was something new. I'm not saying the story is bad, I read through some parts and its pretty solid. I just think if you brainstormed you could think up something better. Just matrix being in the title twice is kinda weird. Just something to replace super. idk, my two cents anyways :(

Mr. Delicious,
The "Matrix 4" part of the title would probably be dropped if it ever made it to the big screen. It would just be The Super Matrix.
But here are a few other titles. Anybody got a favorite or better one?
Matrix Rememory
Matrix Revelations (too close to Revolutions?)
Matrix Resurrection
Beyond the Matrix
Matrix Chronicles
Matrix Reborn
Matrix Reactivated
Matrix Rebooted
Matrix Recharged
The Super Cooler Matrix (funny)

I really enjoyed it! Thank you for your efforts! Even when I am satisfied in the outcomes of sequels I still yearn for more and more. But the problem now is that I WANT MORE STILL. I hope you are in the writing mood because I am looking forward to reading more of your work. Mr. Wood you have to understand that I do not read books on the regular, actually i can stand to read and it takes something majorly important and intriguing to keep me reading. Thanks again!

seaquin2000,
I'm glad you liked it so much. It's doubtful I'll continue the story, but I sure did like writing what I came up with. When I finish my own ORIGINAL screenplay, I'll be posting that instead.
Thanks, PD Wood

uhmmm.... the matrix 2 and 3 were both more than a LITTLE lame... more like extremely lame.
terrible films.
such a shame too... the first matrix movie is one of my favorite movies.
wanna know why it works and the others dont?
because the first movie was a tale of discovery.
the sequels were nothing but shit, they didn't have anything in them that people could connect with. and the special effects were shit too. im sorry, the million rubber man attack was not cool. it looked like shit. actually... i'd say more than 70% of the CG work in those last 2 films was utter crap.
after watching those 2 movies, i was wondering why George Lucas's name wasnt under "directed by:", because thats what they felt like, episode 1 2 and 3. nothing but CG garbage, and BAD cg at that!
why anyone would want to prolong the death of this franchise is beyond me.
i feel they should re-make the matrix 2 with a different director, different script, re-do the entire thing like they did the hulk. they need to face facts and own up to how shitty those fucking movies are, face reality motherfuckers, burn the original films, go back to your original matrix budget and start the fuck over from scratch and make us a goddamn decent matrix sequel!!
FUCK

Personally, I thought the second and third episodes brought a lot to the story. I just wished they had closed the Trilogy a little better. Of course it's just MHO.

Really?! I thought alot of people loved the first movie and then just got lost when Reloaded and Revolutions came out. I personally feel that the first film can work perfectly well on it's own, in matter of fact I believe The Matrix series ended at the end of the first film. It just soothes the pain, that 2 and 3 caused me.

how about...
Matrix: FAIL
the next matrix would be 3hrs of just matrix code trickling down the screen and then the blue screen of death for the last 30 seconds.
then as you walk out the theater there would be a big fat guy in a rubber suit that smacks you on the head with a dead kitten for dragging the matrix saga on far more than it needed to be..
the first matrix was perfect.. then they got progressively worse. i do agree that they should have been remade or at least done right the first time but since we cant do that, we'll just have to deal with the crap trilogy. of course thats just my opinion. long live the matrix ;) - JAG

Bah. I LOVED the final Matrix movie. It probably has the most epic fight scene in movie history. :) I also like all the story elements as well.. I guess I didn't look too deeply though. Just enjoyed the ride, kinda :P
And yes. The movie is stolen. It's cut and paste from a lot of different stuff. Compare the scenes in Ghost In the Shell and The Matrix side by side and you'll see some of them are ripped right of.
But I don't mind, since it's an great movie any way... But then again, i have a habit of liking movies others say is crap :P
I like the Super in the title by the way... Reminds me of the movie Cube^2 - Supercube. Which would be a four dimensional cube... I think :P And matrix is a bit mathy, so supermatrix sound right. Haven't read your script yet though...
