This is one of the more taboo enemies in my game concept... I don't really want to give too much away (not that i'm being pretentious like my game matters).

10 mins. Any Questions?

lol, i knew my ideas were coming along, i basically wanted to get creepier than doomIII, since this will be a single player HL2 gothic horror mod.
btw... i plan to bring a "pater" to the table soon enough, i'm playing around w/ positioning the figure for the sketch.
as for painting, i'm not that good yet so i'll just stick to modelling this and making a skin (skin painting, i'm decent at).
awesome to get some replies, i'll probably put this in a few more positions for a later dump.

finding shock value in games that isn't cliche' requires some creativity nowadays, i'm definitely not going to overdo stuff like this in-game just to maintain balance (and preserve THIS shock value), so don't expect too much like this to see the forums.

Dude i personally want to to see more of tis..not because it's shock value, but because of the talent it involved t create that awesome concept...

there will definitely be more, i've been concepting in my mind for quite a while, i just never get the chance to sit down to my wacom and flesh some of the stuff out, but i don't want it to get boring (as most of H.R. Giger's stuff got to me after so much of it)

awesome.
I love it.
As a modeller looking to get into the game industry, I love it when concept artists come up with things that are as off the wall and unexpected as this. Beyond the shock value, the basic idea of the immobile infant using the mother / host as transport is ingenious.
I hope you take this further (i.e. 3d) and have more to come along this line.

it's probably such an old post that the image is no longer online where it was.
don't know why someone would revive a dead thread with no image.

If you look through all the posts you'll see this was brought up from September 25th, 2003. Over a year and a half old... the source has obviously changed or been deleted.
Let it rest once more :404sign:
