Hey

I'm from Australia and I'm really interested in studying in the US in San Fransisco. This won't happen for a while because of busy family circumstances, but I still want to know what I would have to show to the college or Uni.
Besides a VISA, does anyone know what kind of records I'd need to show? Would my Years 12 reports as well as other college reports have be shown? I'm just really not sure how the education system works in the US. =S Would I need to submit a portfolio?

Confused but open to what anyone has to say on this matter.
Thanks.

If you know of a particular school you're attending, most of those institutions will have an International Relations counselor of sorts to help you weave your way through the immigration stuff. I'd suggest calling them up directly.

Most uni in Cali require international student to show all their past transcripts from high sch, college ect.. However, the most important document required was a bank statement showing you have the money for a min of a year tuation fees, it range from $10,000 to $40,000 depending on which sch you are going to. I presume you are getting a art degree since you are posting in this forum. There are a few private colleges located in San Fransisco and a state college there. As for portfolio it is always good to have something to show. Try and get some life drawing, sculpting or any kind of traditional art to build up ur portfolio.

Good luck!
