Hi all. I posted this request in another forum I frequent, and it was suggested I post this request here, so here goes:

I know there are a couple of comic-centric magazines out there (and Wizard who claims to be), but I'm not interested in them. I'm also not interested in the plethora of painting, pastel and colored pencil magazines out there.

I'm looking for magazines that focus on illustration (tools, techniques, etc), and especially for magazines that focus on marker techniques. I can go for some colored pencil stuff, since I like using them as well, but most of those are put out by the same companies that do the painting (particularly watercolors) magazines and seem to... the thought escapes me... they tend to be too much like the watercolor magazines, and don't focus on usable techniques?

So, Illustration, Markers, Colored Pencils. Anybody know of any magazines that focus on these mediums? (whether individually, or all in one magazine)

You could try Illustration Magazine. But for colored pencil and marker techniques, you will probably have to buy a book.

International Artist.

They always have oodles of great paint tutorials and interviews with professional artists in every issue. They also have contests every month iirc.
