Fighting Games

Well, after reading the top 5 games thread, I have noticed that fighting games are one of the most popular genres in this forum. So, what are your favorite fighting games, fav characters, fatalities, special moves, what else do you like when playing a fighting game?

I'm a Soul Caliber fan. I like Segfried the best, his giant ass sword pwns all. I can't wait to play number four but sadly I have neither a 360 or ps3 so it might be a while, Vader and Yoda are gonna be sweet!

I was always a Voldo fan in SC. My girlfriend HATES him with a passion, but I like him.

Personally, im a true Mortal Kombat fan. And ive been a Cage fan since the series came out. Sucks that they are getting rid of almost every character and restarting the series. Though I am excited that they are completely reinventing it, and making a new fighting system.

Well as you might have seen in that other thread and sorry if I repeated the same stuff again, I am sold completely to the Guilty Gear series. I did enjoy playing the other fighting games such as the street fighter alpha series, Marvel vs Capcom and the KOFs, but I got caught in Guilty Gear because of how fast and crazy the gameplay can be. Like it is so cool to able to run on ground and in on the air, as well as being able to recover on the middle of falls, that really adds to the gameplay a bit. Also, the music is so outstanding and fitting that is one of the few games, I actually got the soundtrack for. Another nice thing about it is that a lot of character play different and some of them has mechanics of their own, which probably can be seen also in other games. Surprisingly, the character has some nice background stories and some have some crazy designs. It might not be so popular outside Japan, but still I think is worth checking out.

One of my favorite characters of this game are Sol Badguy, Zato-1, Ky Kiske, Chipp and Order Sol. I mostly played with Ky, can't beat the Ride the Lightning move.

3d fighting games are cool too but never got too much into them. And yeah, supporting what Toxdel said, Smash Brawl is going to be awesome! Just a few more days...
