Wall Mural

A local restaurant where i work is converting the upstairs into a function room/ lounge/bar... They've asked me to come up with a flowing mural and paint it on a large wall.

I'm keen to get stuck in, but wondered if anyone had any tips or advice about what materials or processes to use to make it durable etc. Its a payed job os i thought i should have theses things considered beforehand
