player 1 (attacker): the failing light of battle
A- you battle fatigue, your nuckels are raw and bloodied, but the day is yours.
B- slumping in the cold the frost takes hold, your muscles tighten as the chill seeps deep into your flesh.

player 2 (defender) : making camp
A - As the amber red sun sinks through the clouds you and your bretheren have made camp atop the battle summit.
B - you awaken on a dead battlefield, you must have been knocked out cold or stunned for the majority of the carnage, all you can hear now are the moans of the half dead. you stand up slowly, alive but shamed.

Duel begins tomorrow and deadline is Saturday. Sound good?

Markus: That's a huge compliment - you pull out some amazing work for your duels. If you ever want to go a round, all you have to do is say the word :D

Soupandbutter: I really like his expression and the hint of carnage behind him. The body against the tree is an especially nice touch :) I also feel you on the colors - I always hate the colors I start with, but thank heavens for PS color adjust tools. They save the day for me ;D

Here's an updated WIP. In a very uncharacteristic moment I've actually been having more fun with the bg than the figure. Bizzare! :D I'm going to try and have this done by ~9am my time, but if I'm just a little late I hope you don't mind.

Dude... that is awesome! You can really feel the grit of the battlefield. Sweet, sweet work Soupandbutter. You captured the brief to a T. My only minor crit is how small the hand on his thigh is, especially compared to his other hand. It makes his whole arm look a little awkward.

I think the 48hr challenges make you bolder by necessity. You've got to be a lot more decisive with your work and you don't have time to over think it :D

Sorry to present an unfinished piece for final, but I just don't have any more time to work on it today. I promise I'll draw the legs next time! I save them for last because they're my least favorite aspect. I'm so slow! :(

Thanks man! Yeah, go ahead and put judged on the title, unless you want some extra time to finish. I don't think anyone would have thought it wasn't finished over just a stylistic choice to hint at the legs.

I was hoping nobody would see that hand (lol). The hands were my biggest disappointment in the finished.
