Hi there talented concept artists! I have an interesting challenge for you.
I run a small game development studio called Ghostfire Games. We are a tiny team and are developing a small, budget game for the Nintendo Wii.
We have a need for a piece of concept art. The best piece of art we receive will receive $200 and will receive a credit in our upcoming game for the Nintendo Wii. This may also lead to future work with us.
The game is a music rhythm game where you move your arms to the beat of the music. The concept art we need is a drawing of the main character. The main character will be doing arm movements to the music, and the player will be moving his arms to imitate that character on the beats of the music. The music of the game is similar to techno and trance type of music.
We'd like a "futuristic" main character. He should be gender-neutral. Some things that might work is an energy being, a sleek robot, etc. But feel free to use your own creativity here and not restrict yourself to these suggestions.
The important thing is that the arms should be well-defined and perhaps a bit long so that the player can really see what arm movements the character is performing.
The deadline for submissions is 1 week from today, March 4. Please email submissions to ed@ghostfiregames.com.

Only the winning concept art will be used in the game. All material submitted remains your property, except for the winning entry. The author of the winning artwork agrees to give us that concept art for use in our upcoming game in exchange for $200 and a credit in the game. Due to similarities in submitted material, we cannot guarantee that your work will not be similar to the winning entry, and only 1 winner will be selected. If no material is submitted that we feel is appropriate, then no winner will be selected.
