Did this image for DSG and thought id do a quick low poly model of it. finished in less than 16 hours. a little over 1800 polygons and 1 512x1024 texture. Mike Corriero sent me a logo to add to the textures. thanks man!

nice man. Very good texture. the rust is comign across well, and the painted highlights really give it some kick. I like how you treated the glass as well. My only complaint is when I was viewing it in shockwave, when vertical (nose down, tail up) it looks an aweful lot liek the slave1 (boba fetts ship) other than that looks great. i checked out your site, and I like the vulture and little pink bird the best. Where you working man? and if your not yet, you will be soon, top notch stuff.

Thanks for the comments poop. Im not the greatest concept artist, but lately ive been trying to work on that in the DSG. Im not familiar with the slave1 ship, but the design overall of mine is not so original anyway.
I used to work at a game company called cyberwarrior but had to stop due to college work. Now that i graduated Im jobless. someone give me a job! :nopity:

Hiya Lou
Nice job on the ship.
The rust spot look good, but they almost stand out too much from the ship. If you tone it down the blue on the clean metal a bit, to maybe a little more tan, it will probably blend in with the rust better.
Also, work on the texture mirror, it looks a bit too obvious.
Nice ship design, no matter if it doesn't look original. Now a days, even originals are copied from something, even if it's your subconsious memories.

hey neble,
great comments. I do really need to work on the mirrored texture, but since the texture space is already used up ill have to remember that for next time. I tried to fix it a little on the part right above the window since its very obvious viewed from the front and top.
When i can get back to the model ill see about fixing the blues..i should have put the paint on one layer and the rust underneath so it could have been tweaked easier.
Also great work on those metroid levels..I have to admit I wasnt a huge fan of the game after playing it for a few weeks (i know im in the minority on that one) but those environments were just amazing.
