Code Name: PROJECT: RWP
1) Project: RWP is a 3d adventure/platformer game that function's similarly to Super Mario64. Our development team is pretty much past the planning stage's of this project, but we lack a few concept artist's to get started.
As a concept artist you will be able to choose a job from a list of current task's posted by our project co-ordinator. Concept artist's are split into two group's, character and building/environment. Choose which one best suit's you based on which you have more experience in.
2) Team Goal - Goal's are divided up among different development members (3d artists, programmer's, sound/music, etc.). Our current goal is to work on a single level/area at a time. Right now, most of our work is going into producing the H.U.B. (overworld) area, and the 1st level. We try to focus our task's by priority, meaning if we need a main character, that's what need's to be developed first more than anything else.
3) My Job: Currently I put my energy into programming and team leadership. I make sure the project co-ordinator assign's the correct task's to be completed, as well as develop code for character control's/physics.
4)Experience: As a concept artist you will learn the skill's needed for working as a team with our other member's. Source code will be distributed with an executable to Dev Member's so you will learn a little about programming game's as well.
5)Input: As a dev member, we like to keep idea's for Story/gameplay open to everyone on the team. This mean's you get to share your idea's with other member's about different element's of the game (story, character's, level's, etc.)
6)Work Amount: Usually for the concept artist's you wont be bombarded with a 1000 assignment's. For building concept artist's you will receive roughly around 2 building's idea's to produce a concept sketch for weekly. You must develop all concept's with a TOP, LEFT, RIGHT, FRONT, BACK view so that our 3d modellors can develop it accurately. The same apply's for character artist's.
