a teeny tiny sub approaches the underwater core of a floating fortress, and the structure comes alive upon detection...

Nice one! It could use more contrast, and some detail in the foreground to suggest scale, i.e. small fish, lights - something that is understandable by the viewer to be a certain size. The tangency at the top of the image is unfortunate - a little more breathing space between the top of the construction and the edge of the frame might help. All in all well executed but a wee bit sterile.
